Halle Pogorelc<br>Psychotherapist

Halle takes a warm, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to therapy, grounded in curiosity, authenticity, and collaboration. She believes that therapy should be a supportive space where patients feel safe, understood, and empowered to explore their experiences without judgment. Halle values the importance of building a trusting therapeutic relationship and works alongside patients to help them better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and recognize their own strengths and resilience.

Drawing from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based practices, and psychodynamic therapy, Halle tailors treatment to meet each patient's unique needs and goals. Her work is rooted in a trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective, with a particular interest in holistic care and the mind-body connection.

Halle works with adolescents and adults navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, stress, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Through a collaborative therapeutic process, she hopes to help patients develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and practical coping strategies that support meaningful and lasting growth.

In addition to Halle's areas of special focus, she is qualified and experienced in treating a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic, OCD, PTSD, trauma, grief, burnout, couples and family issues, relationship difficulties, personality disorders, eating disorders, addictive disorders (including alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, and food), ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, dissociative disorders, psychotic disorders, chronic illness adjustment, sleep disorders, somatic conditions, work and career stress, identity and existential concerns, perfectionism, cultural and racial identity stress, and life transitions. Using an eclectic range of evidence-based approaches, she provides compassionate, individualized care tailored to every patient she serves.

Halle has a strong foundation in mental health counseling through her graduate school training at New York University. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she gained clinical experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Halle also participated in research focused on ADHD and social media interventions, deepening her interest in how developmental, relational, and environmental factors shape mental health across the lifespan.
