Sarah LaFontaine is a dedicated and thoughtful psychotherapist with a strong background in working with individuals diagnosed with anxiety and depression. She draws from a multitude of evidence-based practices such as CBT, holistic approaches, and psychodynamic therapy.
Sarah brings a diverse perspective to the practice, having spent eleven years as a special education teacher for young children. She is experienced in working with families, supporting couples in seeing different perspectives, and approaching unfamiliar situations with an open mind. This unique skill set allows Sarah to support patients in examining behavior both externally and internally.
Sarah works with patients to focus on behavior and get to the root of what is causing their struggles and concerns. She empowers patients to create actionable changes to improve their overall quality of life.
Sarah holds a master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education from New York University (M.A., Ed.) and is completing her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at William & Mary. Sarah excels in creating a safe, comfortable, and nurturing space for her clients. She is patient and shows unconditional positive regard for each individual.
