Psychotherapist for Individuals
Neera Mohess is an integrative therapist who works with a wide variety of individuals with mental health issues, relationship concerns, and life transitions. She draws on a variety of therapeutic techniques, including motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment (ACT) therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
Neera is committed to creating a safe therapeutic space where each individual is heard and supported. She collaborates with her clients to harness their strengths, develop practical strategies, and foster insights that lead to personal growth and emotional well-being.
Neera has worked at the Samaritans of New York hotline where she supported callers with suicidal ideation. She has volunteered at the American Red Cross where she provided assistance to New Yorkers forced from their homes because of fires and other disasters. She has also worked as a Volunteer Advocate at the Mount Sinai Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention Program (SAVI) where she provided emotional support and crisis intervention to survivors of rape, domestic violence and intimate partner violence at emergency departments throughout New York City.
Neera is completing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lehman College. She holds a Master of Library Science from Queens College, and a Master of Science in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Baruch College.
