Psychotherapist for Individuals
Annie is a psychotherapist who specializes in working with adults with trauma backgrounds. She assists individuals in exploring the diverse manifestations of trauma—whether physical, sexual, emotional, or intergenerational—and how these experiences affect their day-to-day lives. Specifically, Annie focuses on exploring interpersonal relationships, intimacy with self and others, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, attachment issues, disordered eating (binging, restricting, and yo-yo dieting), body image concerns, codependency, perfectionism, boundary setting, and complex family relationships.
Annie is skilled in employing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Art Therapy. Through these approaches, Annie focuses on distress tolerance, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, mindfulness, and examining negative thought patterns. Annie’s approach is direct and includes tangible skills for the patient to use outside of session.
Annie is completing her Master in Social Work from Columbia University. It joins rigorous academic theory with real-world practice to enhance the welfare of citizens and communities in New York City, across the nation, and around the world.
